Take an inside look!

If you’ve ever wondered what goes into creating a fused glass piece, you can now get a glimpse of the process.

A new video called “Cleaning and Assembling Your Fused Glass Project” is available for viewing. This is the second part of a three-part series showing how a fused glass plate project comes together.  It explains how and why you clean the glass pieces and shows an inside secret about the setup I use to get consistent results when replicating my fused glass plates.

Follow this link to see an example of this fused glass plate project.  Or, check out the stained glass projects.

You can have your own set by visiting Gustaf’s Galleries in Lindstrom, MN or sending me an email.

Beginnings!

Creating a new business around working with fused and stained glass was really something I intended to pursue after I retired from the normal work force. However, given the circumstances, there’s no time like the present.  The plate sets shown below are a new series for 2011 and, as you can see, come in light blue, bright green, yellow and orange.

Fused Plate Sets

New for Spring 2011

If you’d like to see them first hand, they are available for sale at Gustaf’s Galleries in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Because it takes four days to complete a single color set, you are welcome to preorder by sending me an email at douglas@bluebarnglass.com.  To see a sampling of other pieces, go to http://douglastoavs.efoliomn.com/gallery_glass.

Enjoy!
